Lisa’s Class Room 2-408
I read the book William’s Doll, by Charlotte Zolotow. I loved the part when the boy next door said, “Sissy, Sissy. Sissy.” It reminded me of Oliver Button Is A Sissy, by Tommy DePaola. It is just like the part when the boys said, “What are those tiny shoes sissy?” They said, “Ooh, la-de-doo. Are you gonna to dance for us?” The main lesson of the book is to go you’re own way and follow your dreams, even if all other people don’t support them in Oliver Button is a Sissy, by Tomie dePaola. At the part when the boys changed the school wall from Oliver Button is a Sissy to Star. You can say star in two ways. A great tap dancer, and to follow your dreams.
In William’s Doll, by Charlottte Zolotow, and Oliver Button is a Sissy, by Tomie dePaola, the dads in the books didn’t support the boys’ dreams.
